Back to Basics: A Simple Guide to Your Gut with Our Good Gut Guide
Gemma Stuart
For most of us, we don’t like talking about bums, tums, loos, poos or guts!
Most of us don’t think about our gut. Until it kicks off.
Bloating. Feeling off. Running to the toilet (or… not going at all). Low energy. That “what is going on with me?” feeling.
If this sounds familiar, it’s probably why you joined our mailing list, visited our site and bought our Gut Wealth and Water Wealth products.
According to Guts UK Charity, millions of people experience digestive conditions and symptoms and 58% of people feel embarrassed about their digestive symptoms, with 51% delaying seeking medical advice for over six months.
And a lot of that boils down to embarrassment, and also lack of understanding what’s actually going on. So if your gut’s been trying to get your attention, it’s not being dramatic. It’s trying to get your attention.
April is IBS Awareness Month, so there’s no better time to actually pay attention to it. Irritable bowels (or guts) don’t need to be your life story. So today can be the day you take a moment to re-visit the basics of gut health.
That’s exactly why we created the Good Gut Guide in 2022, and now being 2026, we’ve given it a second refresh.
While the fundamentals haven’t changed - your gut is still responsible for far more than you think). This latest version is clearer, simpler, and way easier to get your head around - because we believe that understanding your gut shouldn’t feel like hard work.
Think of this guide as something you read once… and come back to when your gut needs a reminder.
We promise it isn’t a science lecture. It’s the stuff you actually need to know.
Inside the Good Gut Guide, we outline:
What your gut is actually doing
How digestion really works - from chewing to pooing
Why your gut affects everything from your energy to your mood
The everyday habits that either help your gut… or the opposite
And most importantly - what you can do about it.
Because gut health isn’t about being perfect. It’s about doing the basics well, consistently.
Drinking enough water. Chewing your food (yes, properly). Moving your body. Paying attention when something feels off.
Small things. Big difference.
IBS Awareness Month is all about starting conversations people usually avoid. So consider this yours.
If your gut’s been trying to tell you something… this is your moment to listen to your gut and read the Good Gut Guide.
